According to NOLA.com, the 2018 Essence Festival made history! The festival, that celebrates African American music, art, literature, beauty, wealth, health and culture, had its highest gathering in the city of New Orleans ever!

It was also reported that, for the first time ever, the concerts sold out EVERY NIGHT inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

On the heels of the box-office smash, "Girl's Trip" many expected this outcome. Congratulations Essence Festival. See you next year!
